Wilhelm Schäfer GmbH owns the distribution rights for the Japanese brand “Takeuchi” for Germany and Poland. Takeuchi is regarded as the Mercedes of compact excavators and is sold to and via independent construction machinery dealers. The Takeuchi excavators are refined with additional functional components at the Heppenheim site - similar to AMG at Mercedes. Takeuchi was perceived as too expensive on the market, which also had a negative impact on tenders.
Branding and digitalization have been the focus of the herr schmidt advertising agency's work since 2015.
